Structures are studied then controlled by independent offices that certify their quality before their implementation. Some signs require special cranes or even exceptional machines, such as helicopters, to be installed. In the most common configurations, the supporting structure are positioned on the roofs on cones that not requiring to touch the waterproofness, or ballasted by concrete block. Their size is today subject to a validation of competent authorities, this may vary from a city to another by limiting itself to 60m² maximum.
